Reilly is a research associate at the Center for Human Environments‘ Children’s Environments and Public Space Research Groups, and a doctoral candidate in Environmental Psychology at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is also a co-founder and current board Vice Chair of Play:groundNYC Inc., a New York City non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the city through play. Reilly holds a Masters by Research in Geography from the University of Leeds, a Master of Philosophy in Psychology from CUNY, and is a former National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, US-UK Fulbright Fellow, and American Councils Title VIII Combined Research and Language Training Fellow. Her research and play advocacy has been featured in national and local press, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, CBS News, Truthout, USA Today, and DISEGNO.
